Tokina AT-X 280 AF PRO 28-80mm f/2.8
This photo lens is a versatile option for photographers who want to capture a range of shots. The lens has a variable focal length of 28-80mm and a fast f/2.8 aperture, which allows for good bokeh and low light shooting. The autofocus system is fast and accurate, but you can also switch to manual focus if needed. The lens has 15 elements in 9 groups, which helps to reduce distortion and chromatic aberration. The lens coating is multi-coated, which helps to reduce flare and ghosting. The build quality is solid, with a metal mount and a durable construction. The lens has a good resolution, which means that your photos will be sharp and detailed. Overall, this lens is a good option for photographers who want a fast, versatile lens with good optics and build quality. Some alternatives to this lens include the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM and the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-70mm f/2.8E ED VR.
Positives:
– Super sharp throughout the focal range, even wide open.
– Stopping down to f/4 makes it razor sharp.
– Solid build quality, feels like a tank.
– Great value for money in this focal range.
Negatives:
– No HSM/USM, so autofocus may be a bit slower compared to other lenses.
– Some distortion can be present at wider focal lengths, but it can be easily corrected in post-processing.

One of those hidden gems!! This lens is a hidden gem!!! It is super sharp throughout the focal range even wide open, but when stopped down to f/4 it is like a razor!! No HSM/USM but it is not a slouch either! Build quality it amazing, it is built like a tank!!! It is the best bang for the buck in this focal range, hands down. If you can not afford the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 or just don’t want to spend that kind of $$$ then don’t hesitate buying this lens if you can find one!! I have recommended this lens to many folks from beginners to Pros and not a single complaint yet!
