Tokina AF 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 II

(6 customer reviews)

This camera glass provides a wide range of focal lengths. It can be used for landscapes, architecture, and interior photography. It has both autofocus and manual focus options. The lens elements are coated to reduce glare and improve image quality. The manufacturing time of this photographic lens is not mentioned. The aperture can be set from f/3.5 to f/4.5, which is average for this type of lens. The build quality is good, and it feels sturdy in the hand. The resolution is decent, but not exceptional. There are alternatives available from other brands, but this lens is a good option for those who want a wide angle zoom lens at an affordable price.

Positives:

This lens is versatile and great value for the price. It’s become a go-to lens for me, alongside my trusty 50mm. I’ve used this lens for a variety of photography genres, including landscapes, architecture, and portraits, and it always delivers impressive results. The autofocus is fast and accurate, and the lens produces sharp images with vibrant colors. Additionally, the lens is lightweight and compact, making it a perfect travel companion.

Negatives:

While the lens isn’t the sharpest I’ve ever used, it still does the job nicely. However, if you’re a stickler for the ultimate level of sharpness, you might want to consider some higher-end options. The zoom mechanism also feels a bit loose and “plastic-y,” but it hasn’t caused any problems for me yet.

All in all, the Tokina AF 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 II lens offers excellent value for its price. It’s a versatile lens that can handle a range of photography situations, and it produces sharp and colorful images that will satisfy most photographers. While it may not be the absolute sharpest lens on the market, it’s certainly a solid performer and a worthwhile addition to any photographer’s kit.

Awesome lens for landscapes and portriots and semi close ups. This is my first experience with a lens with a 20-35 range. I found this lens to be awesome. I am not a pro but find my photos to be crisp and clear with little distortion. I use this lens with my canon 6D full frame camera for a winning combination. The build quality is as great as the pictures I get. The cost used at a little over $300. Was well worth the money. This is my walk around lens and I am happy with it. I read several reviews on this lens before buying it. They were mostly good reviews.

I like tokina pro lenses Have a few tokina for ff Sony. This is nice and wide for ff. Range limited on APS cameras. Mine needed focus tuning in camera -10/20. A99 then focuses fast and consistently, much better than on an older Sony a55.
