Tamron AF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro

(7 customer reviews)

The lens has good build quality and is made of quality glass elements. It has a good resolution and produces nice bokeh. It can be used in both autofocus and manual focus modes. The lens coating helps to reduce ghosting and flare. The manufacturing time is not specified. The lens has a variable aperture of f/4-5.6 which means the amount of light entering the lens changes as you zoom in or out. There are alternative lenses available in the market with similar focal length and aperture range. Overall, the Tamron AF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro lens is a good choice for those who want an affordable telephoto zoom lens with macro capabilities.

Positives:
– Great value for the price
– Provides a long zoom range up to 300mm
– Good image quality with sharp and clear images
– Lightweight and easy to handle
– Includes a macro function for close-up photography

Negatives:
– Can have some distortion or softness at higher zoom ranges
– Autofocus can be slow or noisy in low light situations
– Build quality may not be as sturdy as more expensive lenses

Conclusion:
Overall, the Tamron AF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 LD Macro lens is a fantastic option for photographers on a budget who still want a long zoom lens with macro capabilities. While it may not have the same level of build quality or autofocus performance as more expensive lenses, the image quality is still excellent and provides great value for the price.

Tamron Lens The lens was new…as stated. I was immediately pleased with my first picture. Although I do have to manual focus with my camera, that is not a drawback for me. I do shoot in the manual mode 95% of the time. I do find my images sharp and crisp, the colors of my images are great. I will make this my primary lens.

Tamron 75-300mm review I was a little disappointed with the lack of sharpness, especially in low light. All in all its a decent lens , giving me that extra bit of zoom that I need for wild life shots. I do find in contrasty situations it’s prone to bad purple fringing, easily removed in lightroom though.

Excellent Value Tamron has made many lens over the years and has proven to be a company that makes products that offer quality and durability. This lens is a good example. I bought it used and so it has experienced more than I could give it. It works smoothly and takes a sharp picture. It works well on automatic or manual, and for the pictures I take, it is indistinguishable between pictures taken with this or the Nikon lens I own. Buying used made it an excellent value but it is a good buy new and a fine lens for a telephoto zoom.

Love IT Came 4 days earlier than the marked ship date. Great lens for the price you pay. Came in brand new as promised! Only problem is there is no Autofocus as stated in the title which doesn’t hinder pictures in any way

Great lens for the money! Bought this lens for my wife’s Nikon D200. Yeah! I know! She wanted a longet lens and she doesn’t use her Nikon enough to spend money on a quality Nikon lens. She uses her Nikon allot now and loves the new Tamron Lens. Very clear and light! And…you can’t beat the cost!
