Tamron 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 f/053

(6 customer reviews)

This photo lens has a minimum focusing distance of 15cm, which is great for close-up photography. It has 9 lens elements in 8 groups, which includes aspherical and low dispersion elements to reduce distortion and chromatic aberration. The lens also has a special coating to reduce ghosting and flares. The build quality of this glass is good, and it is weather-sealed to protect against dust and moisture. The autofocus is fast and silent, but it can also be switched to manual focus if desired. This camera glass provides good resolution and sharpness, especially in the center of the image. Overall, this photographic lens is a good alternative for those who want a compact and lightweight lens with good optics and autofocus capabilities.

Positives:
– Great image quality: The lens produces sharp and detailed images with minimal distortion and chromatic aberration.
– Lightweight and compact: The lens is easy to carry around and doesn’t add much weight to the camera.
– Versatile focal length: The 35mm focal length is ideal for a wide range of photography genres such as environmental portraits, travel, and street photography.
– Good value for money: The lens offers a good balance between price and performance.

Negatives:
– Not ideal for video: The autofocus can be a bit slow and noisy, making it less suitable for video than photography.
– Limited maximum aperture: With a maximum aperture of f/2.8, the lens may not be the best choice for low-light situations or creating a shallow depth of field.

Conclusion:
The Tamron 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 f/053 camera lens is a great product for photographers who want a high-quality, lightweight, and versatile lens. However, if you’re primarily a videographer, this lens may not be the best fit for you due to slower autofocus and limited maximum aperture. Overall, it’s a good value for its price, and I would recommend it to photographers looking for a high-quality 35mm lens.

Optical design

Has 7 aperture blades, mid-grade lenses usually have this amount of blades. Having rounded blades provides out of focus circle shape closer to a circle. Bright lens thanks to the high aperture value

Physical characteristics

64 mm long, this small lens should be always in the camera bag. With a lens filter diameter of 67 mm commonly filter size, gives you a variety of filter options. Weights 210 grams so consider putting to your camera bag.

Great product and great price. Will be able to take portraits and street photography. Great quality and great pictures. Great all around lens. After testing out the lens it has a great picture quality and is well worth the money I have a lot of Tamron lenses. There were a lot of other lands that I could have bought but I love this focal length and it is good for all around photos be it street photography or portrait or family pictures even landscape it’s a great all around lens and the price is great I would recommend this to anyone.

Great for everyday photography, but autofocus may turn away video shooters The Tamron 35 mm F/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 lens for Sony is a great walk-around lens for general photography, particularly wider angle street photography and environmental portraits. It’s very compact, light, and surprisingly sharp as Tamron has come a very long way in quality, at least since my early days shooting with their Canon superzoom lenses.

As with most, if not all, third party Sony lenses, autofocus does take a bit of a hit. This lens tends to hunt for focus in low light, though not frequently enough to be a major inconvenience. Also, the autofocus does make a whirring sound that is noticeable on video, so this lens may not be a good fit for video shooters, in which case sticking to native Sony glass may be the best option.

As far as photography is concerned, this is a solid lens that gives you sharp, clean images at a much more affordable price than the Sony-Zeiss 35 mm lenses.

Great little lens The Tamron di iii is a pleasant surprise. It’s fairly sharp, renders well, and is really light. The focus isn’t perfect but it’s not slow either. Always hits accurately but a tad noisy.

Clearly, this isn’t up to the performance of a Batis 40mm or a sigma 35 1.2, but it’s better than 300 bucks too….

Again, today’s lenses are sharper and better than most photographers too..

Nice lens, well worth the money I give this lens 5 stars because of the price, Is it a G master lens? No it’s not, but it’s very good and sharp,
the close focusing is also a big plus for this lens, focusing is a bit slow but not that bad, I bought it for street shooting on my a7rII and after shooting it this weekend I’m very pleased. super light and I love the
    lens hood.

Good Product for a Photographer! Not Videographer! It’s a good product, just not a lens for a videographer and more for a photographer. Wasn’t able to return and will work with it!
