Sigma DG 20-40mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical

(6 customer reviews)

This camera glass is a versatile option for photographers who want a high-quality photographic lens without breaking the bank. It has aspherical lens elements that help to reduce distortion and improve image sharpness. The lens coating helps to reduce glare and improve contrast. The build quality is good, and the lens is designed to last. The autofocus is fast and accurate, making it a good option for action photography. The bokeh is smooth and pleasing to the eye, making it a good option for portrait photography. The aperture can be adjusted from f/2.8 to f/22, giving photographers a lot of flexibility in terms of depth of field. The resolution is good, and photos taken with this lens are sharp and detailed. If you are looking for an alternative, you might consider the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM or the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED. Overall, the Sigma DG 20-40mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical is a good choice for photographers who want a high-quality photo lens at a reasonable price.

Here’s my enhanced review of the Sigma DG 20-40mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical camera lens:

Positives:
– The build quality is solid and durable. It feels like a high-end lens.
– The f/2.8 aperture allows for great low light performance and shallow depth of field.
– The aspherical elements minimize distortion and produce sharp images.
– The zoom range is versatile for different shooting scenarios, from wide-angle landscapes to portraits.
– It’s comparatively affordable, making it a great value lens.

Negatives:
– The autofocus motor is relatively slow and noisy. It may struggle in low light or with moving subjects.
– It’s a heavy and large lens, adding extra weight to your camera setup.

Conclusion:
Overall, the Sigma DG 20-40mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical camera lens is an excellent lens for its price. While it has some limitations with autofocus and weight, its sharpness, versatility, and low light performance make it a great choice for enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their lenses without breaking the bank.

With a lens filter diameter of 82 mm lens filters in this range can be expensive, purchase lens – and filter – only if you plan to keep them for long time, make a try with used ones. 108 mm long, requires consideration if you want to carry in the camera bag.
