Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG OS

(6 customer reviews)

The Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG OS is a camera glass that allows for a wide range of focal lengths, making it suitable for various photographic applications. It has an autofocus system that enables quick and accurate focusing. The lens is built with several lens elements that help to minimize distortion and chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp and clear images. Additionally, the lens coating helps to reduce glare and improve contrast. The lens has a variable aperture, which means that the maximum aperture changes as you zoom in or out. The build quality of this photographic lens is good, making it durable and reliable. The lens has a good resolution, which means that it can capture fine details in your photos. There are alternatives to this lens, such as other ultra telephoto zoom lenses with different maximum apertures and focal lengths. The bokeh, or the quality of the out-of-focus areas in your photos, is also good with this lens. It can be used in both manual and autofocus modes, giving you more control over your photos. The manufacturing time of this lens is not specified.

Sure, here is my review of the Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG OS camera lens:

Positives:
– Great value for the price. This lens is an affordable option for those looking to get a telephoto lens without breaking the bank.
– Image quality is good for the price. It’s not the sharpest or most detailed lens out there, but it does the job.
– The OS (Optical Stabilization) feature is helpful when shooting handheld at slow shutter speeds.
– Good focal range for a variety of situations.

Negatives:
– The autofocus can be slow and noisy at times.
– The build quality could be better. It feels a bit plasticky and cheap.
– The minimum focusing distance is quite long, so don’t expect to get up close and personal with your subjects.

Conclusion:
Overall, I think the Sigma AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG OS lens is a good option for those on a budget who need a telephoto lens. While it’s not the most impressive lens out there, it gets the job done and won’t cost you an arm and a leg. If you’re a beginner or just looking for a basic telephoto lens, this could be a good choice for you.

Optical design

Has 9 aperture blades, with this amount of aperture blades you will be satisfied with the result. Great choice mainly for good light conditions

Physical characteristics

With a lens filter diameter of 62 mm you are one step from the next standard filter size, buy step-up ring and bigger filter you may want to use a step-up ring and 67 or 77mm filter. Weights 610 grams so it is a heavy lens, consider using its own lens bag. 126 mm long, requires consideration if you want to carry in the camera bag.

Great Lens I have purchased Canon Lenses which tend to be more expensive, especially with Image Stabilization. I tried an older, Excellent condition but older, Canon 75mm-300mm lens first. The IS was loud and clunky and photos were soft at 300mm as the reviews said they would be. This lens was in Mint Condition and works perfectly. The AF works super fast, and the IS or OS for Sigma is virtually silent. I have used a Canon 55mm to 250mm Kit lens with IS and pictures are super sharp to my eye. This lens matches the quality of those shots. As an amateur and novice, I am very happy with it’s performance. In the side by side comparison it is equal to the Canon 55mm-250mm in performance, but the zoom ring doesn’t function quite as smoothly and easily on my T6s as my Canon lenses. The shots are great, however.

Very nice zoom lens. I won the auction for the Sigma 70-300mm lens a few weeks ago. I really liked the condition and the fuctionality of the lens. I’m going to have to do some research into the feature of the lens so that I can use it to its full potential. I decided to bid on this lens because of the price and the fact that it was a 300 mm zoom lens. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DL-M for Canon It is a very good lens for the price producing sharp pictures and easy to use.
Being autofocus it is changable to manual which in some cases is better anyway so having both options makes this lens stand out.

Feel the love… buy this lens! This lens is amazing! Press the shutter button halfway and it really grabs the subject… won’t turn it loose until you release the shutter or take the shot. Very nice optics, too! Nice build quality. Especially considering the price, this long lens beats Canon by a long shot!

Love it!! Excellent lens for budget buyers. Well worth the money. A tad heavy, but that goes with a telephoto.
