Sigma AF 28-70mm f/2.8-4

(6 customer reviews)

The Sigma AF 28-70mm f/2.8-4 is a camera glass that can be used on full frame cameras. It has a variable aperture that ranges from f/2.8 to f/4. The lens has autofocus capabilities, but can also be used manually. It is made up of several lens elements, which help to produce clear and sharp images. The lens has a special coating that helps to reduce glare and improve image quality. The build quality of the lens is good, making it durable and long-lasting. The lens produces good bokeh, which is the quality of the out-of-focus areas in an image. The resolution of the lens is also good, meaning that images will be sharp and clear. There are alternative lenses available on the market, but the Sigma AF 28-70mm f/2.8-4 is a good option for those who want a high-quality lens at an affordable price. The lens was manufactured several years ago, but it is still a good option for those who want to take high-quality photos.

Sure, here’s my enhanced review of the Sigma AF 28-70mm f/2.8-4 camera lens:

Positives:
– Super sharp lens with excellent color rendition and contrast.
– Bokeh is outstanding giving a beautiful separation between subject and background.
– Great focal range that covers wide-angle to short telephoto, making it a versatile lens for different types of photography.
– Build quality is solid and sturdy, with a smooth zoom and focus ring.

Negatives:
– Autofocus is a bit noisy, which can be an issue when shooting in quieter settings like weddings or wildlife.
– The lens is not as fast as some of its competitors in the same range, so it’s not the best choice for low-light photography.
– Chromatic aberration can be noticeable in some situations, but it’s easy to fix in post-processing.

Conclusion:
The Sigma AF 28-70mm f/2.8-4 is a fantastic lens that delivers exceptional image quality, beautiful bokeh, and versatile focal range. It may not be the fastest or quietest lens out there, but it’s a solid choice for photographers looking for a sharp, reliable lens that won’t break the bank. I highly recommend it for enthusiasts who want to upgrade from a kit lens and experiment with different types of photography.

A Top Macro Macro Lens! The Sigma 70mm f2.8 DG EX macro is among the best 4 best macro lenses in the world: Canon 100mm f2.8L IS, Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR Micro and probably the sharpest one Sigma 150 f2.8 DG EX macro. Sigma 70mm f2.8 EX DG (special color corrected multi-coating and designed for any format APS or full-frame sensors) is absolutely sharp with great “bokeh” for macro shots and also portraits (sometimes too sharp for portraits). It fits very well in the APS cameras as a 100 or 112mm macro for that perfect distance in flowers & insects shots or as a super fast portrait lens. Fitted in a full-frame you’ll get a great all purpose macro, landscape, portrait lens. I have had them all and I kept the 70mm and 150mm Sigmas. Since them I’m always ready for any kind of product, portrait and macro shooting. I’m a professional photographer based in NYC with 3 decades of experience.

Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4.0 DG for Nikon **** 4 Stars Everything seems sharp and crisp. Great lens for short to medium zoom. Hunts a litlle in very low light, but so do I. This is as sharp at 2.8 as my 80-200mm.
