Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX APO IF

(6 customer reviews)

This camera glass has a high-quality build, and it is designed to last for a long time. It has a good resolution, which means that your photos will be sharp and clear. The lens elements have been coated to reduce glare and improve image quality. The bokeh, or the out-of-focus areas of the photo, is smooth and pleasing to the eye. This photographic lens has both autofocus and manual focus options, giving you more control over your shots. It is compatible with various cameras, but you may need an adapter for some models. There are some alternatives to this lens, but it is a popular choice for photographers who need a high-quality telephoto zoom lens. It takes some time to manufacture this lens, but the end result is worth it. The wide aperture of f/2.8 allows for a shallow depth of field, which is great for portraits and other types of photography. Overall, the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX APO IF is a great option for photographers who need a reliable and high-quality lens for their full-frame camera.

Positives:
– Excellent build quality, feels sturdy and well-made
– Fast and accurate autofocus
– Good value compared to similar lenses from Nikon and Canon

Negatives:

– Focus can lag in low light situations
– CA (chromatic aberration) and ghosting can be noticeable in some conditions
– As mentioned in the other review, sharpness isn’t the best compared to other lenses in this category

Overall, the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX APO IF is a decent lens that offers good value for the money. While it may not be the best choice for someone who requires the absolute sharpest images, it does offer solid performance and a useful range for a variety of shooting situations. The build quality is a definite plus, and the lens is a good option for those who don’t want to pay top dollar for the Nikon or Canon equivalent. However, it’s important to be aware of some of the lens’s shortcomings, such as its weight and tendency toward CA and ghosting.

SIGMA 70-200MM FOR SONY A-MOUNT First off I am no pro photographer. Grandson is really involved in wrestling and Little League so I wanted to get a good lens for that type of activity. I have a Sony A65. I met a lady at my grand daughters gym class and she had this lens, her son had recommended it to her so I bought it. It is really a nice all around lens. The focus and zoom rings are really smooth, the pictures are clear and the colors are vibrant. The only filter that I have used on it is the UV. Someday soon I want to take it to Lake Tahoe and see how it does for wildlife shots. Don’t have the knowledge to use all the settings that are available (just use auto, remember I am a rookie) but someday hope to become more knowledgeable and learn all about the camera and the lens. All I can say is I think it is a super nice lens and I am very happy with it. Oh yes the focus motor is really nice and quiet.

Great Performer for the Price With internal focus and zoom this lens is a very nice performer. The HSM motor focuses swiftly and silently. I just received it today and did a quick test but I’m satisfied so far. A 70-200mm f2.8 zoom is a great lens for any photographer who can afford one. The Sigma represents a great price/performance ratio.
