Sigma 300mm f/4 Macro APO

(7 customer reviews)

The lens has a high-quality build with a solid construction. It is coated with a special coating to reduce flare and ghosting. The lens has a great resolution, which means the details in the photo will be sharp and precise. The lens has a large aperture, which means it can capture more light and create a shallow depth of field. The lens has both autofocus and manual focus options, so you can choose how to focus your shot. The lens has multiple lens elements, which means it can correct for aberrations and create a high-quality image. There are alternative lenses available, but this lens is a great choice for macro photography and telephoto shots. The manufacturing time for this lens is not known, but it is a high-quality lens that is worth the investment. The bokeh, or the quality of the out-of-focus areas in the photo, is also great with this lens. Overall, the Sigma 300mm f/4 Macro APO lens is a great choice for photographers who want a high-quality, versatile lens for their camera.

Positives:
– This lens is perfect for airshows and other outdoor events where you need a combination of long reach and fast focus. The 300mm focal length gives you plenty of zoom power, and the f/4 aperture means you can capture fast-moving objects with ease.
– The lens is also great for macro photography, allowing you to capture small details with stunning sharpness. The APO (apochromatic) design helps to reduce chromatic aberration and other optical distortions, producing images that are crisp and clear.
– The lens is easy to use, with a smooth focus ring and a sturdy build quality. It’s also relatively lightweight for a 300mm lens, making it easy to carry around all day.

Negatives:
– The main downside to this lens is the price. It’s certainly not cheap, although in my opinion it’s worth the investment if you’re serious about your photography.
– Another potential issue is the lack of image stabilization. This isn’t a deal-breaker for most photographers, but it does mean you’ll need to be careful when shooting handheld to avoid blurry images.

Conclusion:
Overall, I highly recommend the Sigma 300mm f/4 Macro APO camera lens for anyone who needs a versatile, high-quality telephoto lens. It’s particularly well-suited to airshows and other outdoor events, but can also be used for macro photography and other types of shooting. While the price may be a barrier for some, the lens’s excellent optics and build quality make it a worthwhile investment for serious photographers.

Optical design

Has 9 aperture blades, with this amount of aperture blades you will be satisfied with the result. Great choice mainly for good light conditions Thanks to the macro capabilities this lens can make tiny things look big.

Best Lens for the Money I have personally owned and used this lens and consider it to be the best lens for the money on the market. I took one up parasailing on a Nikon D80, many years ago, down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and got incredible shots. I’ve given several of these lens to friends and family. I can’t say enough good things about it and Sigma Lens in general.
