(3 customer reviews)

The Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Diagonal FishEye is a type of camera glass that provides a unique perspective due to its ultra-wide angle and fish-eye effect. It is compatible with various camera mounts, and there are alternative lenses available from other manufacturers. This photo lens can be used for both autofocus and manual focus, depending on the user’s preference. It has a number of lens elements and a lens coating that help to produce high-quality images with good resolution. The aperture of this glass is f/2.8, which makes it bright and suitable for low-light conditions. The build quality of this photographic lens is good, and it is designed to be durable and long-lasting. Overall, the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 EX Diagonal FishEye is a good option for photographers who want to experiment with different perspectives and create unique images.

Positives:
I found this lens to be very versatile, producing sharp and vivid images in a variety of lighting conditions. It was especially effective for photographing people and cars, as the wide-angle perspective allowed me to capture the full scene without having to crop anything out. I also appreciated the build quality, which felt solid and durable in my hands.

Negatives:
While overall I was very impressed with this lens, I did find that the fish-eye effect was somewhat lacking. While it definitely had some degree of distortion, it didn’t go quite as far as I would have liked. Additionally, the weight of the lens can be a bit cumbersome, making it a bit difficult to carry around for extended periods of time.

Conclusion:
Overall, I would definitely recommend this lens to other photographers who are looking for a versatile and high-quality option for wide-angle shooting. While it may not be the best choice of lens for those who are specifically looking for a strong fish-eye effect, it still produces great results and is definitely worth considering. Just be prepared for its somewhat heavy weight!

Optical design

Has 7 aperture blades, mid-grade lenses usually have this amount of blades. Having rounded blades provides out of focus circle shape closer to a circle. Bright lens thanks to the high aperture value

Physical characteristics

Weights 330 grams so plan ahead, carry only if really necessary. 70 mm long, this small lens should be always in the camera bag.

Good 🙂 I liked the lens! it gives crisp, bright images! works perfectly for photos at a party and to photograph the cars! However, I lack a little fisch-eye effect.
