Mamiya / Sekor 135mm f/2.8 Auto

(5 customer reviews)

The Mamiya / Sekor 135mm f/2.8 Auto is a camera glass that is not autofocus, meaning you need to manually adjust the focus. It has lens elements that are coated to minimize reflections and improve image quality. The lens has a wide aperture of f/2.8, which allows for more light to enter the camera and create a shallow depth of field, resulting in a pleasing bokeh effect. The lens is well-built and has a good resolution, making it a reliable option for photographers. The manufacturing time of the lens is not specified. There are alternatives to this lens in the market, but the Mamiya / Sekor 135mm f/2.8 Auto is a solid choice for those looking for a prime lens for portrait photography or other applications that require a telephoto lens.

I recently had the pleasure of using the Mamiya / Sekor 135mm f/2.8 Auto camera lens on my vintage film camera and I must say, it is a true gem. Here’s my review of this lens:

Positives:
– Bokeh is absolutely stunning. The f/2.8 aperture allows for beautiful background blur, making your subject really pop.
– Build quality is superb. The lens feels solid and durable, not too heavy but not too light either.
– Sharpness is remarkable, even when shooting wide open at f/2.8. Images are crisp and detailed.
– Focus ring is smooth and easy to operate. It’s a pleasure to manually focus with this lens.

Negatives:
– The lens is not very versatile due to its fixed focal length. It’s great for portraits or close-up shots, but not ideal for landscapes or wider shots.
– It can be difficult to find a compatible camera body, as Mamiya is not a commonly used brand anymore.

Conclusion:
Overall, I highly recommend the Mamiya / Sekor 135mm f/2.8 Auto camera lens to vintage camera enthusiasts who are looking for a high-quality lens with stunning bokeh and sharpness. It’s a reliable and durable lens that will produce beautiful results. If you’re looking for a versatile lens to use on different camera bodies and for varied photography needs, this may not be the best choice for you.
